Deutscher Ring is located in Hamburg, Germany and employs around 2,400 staff around the country. The business includes Life, Property and Health Insurance as well as Mortgages and Financial Services.

IBM implemented a solution using InputAccel and Prosar-Aida for automatic recognition & indexing 

 

Architecture:

  • Initial pilot implemented 3000 pages per hour
  • Initial pilot only worked only with health insurance documents
  • Captured documents are forwarded automatically to a recipient automatically via the procedural control system
Milestones:
  • Project started in Feb 2000 
  • Initial production implementation completed in Aug 2000
  • Production reached without problems
